HANOI, May 13 (Xinhua) -- The Vietnamese government has called on relevant localities and agencies to finalize the feasibility study for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway project by August 2025, aiming to begin construction by December, the Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.

A government resolution issued the same day outlines the project's key timeline, including the completion of the technical design within May 2025.

The railway project, which is set to pass through nine Vietnamese provinces and cities, is expected to play a key role in enhancing regional connectivity and promoting economic development in northern Vietnam. ■
